About Us – Envision Landscapes Garden Center

Every great landscape starts with a single seed. For Alex Eckhoff, that seed was planted right here in Beatrice. While attending Tri County High School, Alex began his journey at the local Earl May, learning the fundamentals of plant health and customer service.

That early passion led him to the University of Nebraska, where he spent years with UNL Landscape Services, honing the technical skills required to manage large-scale, complex environments. In 2016, Alex returned to his roots to launch Envision Landscapes. He didn’t just want to start a business; he wanted to provide his hometown with a “natural eye” for design and a level of professionalism that Beatrice residents deserved.

Envision Landscapes is owned and operated by Alex Eckhoff. Alex was born & raised in Beatrice, Nebraska. While attending Tri County High School in Dewitt, Nebraska, he started his landscaping career at the local Earl May in Beatrice. After graduating in 2008, he attended the University of Nebraska and worked for UNL Landscape services. It was then when he realized he had the natural eye and experience start his own landscaping company back in Beatrice. Alex & his crew bring over 20 years of professional landscaping knowledge and experience to every job.

In 2022, we expanded our vision by opening the Envision Garden Center at 2115 E Court St. We didn’t want to just sell plants; we wanted to create a “peaceful and serene” environment where neighbors could gather.

What makes us different? We aren’t just a middleman. We grow our own annuals right here in our greenhouses, ensuring they are perfectly acclimated to Beatrice’s specific weather before they ever reach your garden. From our massive indoor Christmas Store displays that draw visitors from across the region to our community events like the Beer & Wine Tasting Festival, our Garden Center is the heartbeat of our company. We don’t just landscape the community.
